Privacy
Cookable is a small personal project for keeping track of what is in your kitchen and what you can cook. This page says what it stores and who sees it.
What is stored
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID and email address. Nothing else is taken from your Google account (no name, photo, contacts or anything in your Google services).
- Your pantry data: the ingredients, saved recipes, shopping list and settings you enter. It is kept in a database of your own, separate from everyone else's.
- If you try the demo: a random ID in a cookie on your browser that points to your demo pantry. It is deleted after 90 days without use.
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.
Who else gets data
- When you ask for recipe ideas, the names of ingredients you have are sent to an AI service (Anthropic) to suggest dish names. Recipe text and your email are not sent.
- Searching Taiwanese recipe sites sends a search phrase to a web search service. Importing a recipe fetches the page you link; if the page has no structured recipe, its visible text may be sent to the AI service to read it.
- Your data is not sold or shared for advertising.
Deleting your data
Ask the person who runs this site and your account and pantry will be deleted. Demo pantries are removed automatically when unused for 90 days.
